The Borough Solicitor is appointed by Council at each organizational meeting serving a two year term. The Borough Solicitor in considered an official of the Borough and is compensated on a retainer basis. The Home Rule Charter , (page 37) provides the procedures for the appointment, qualifications and responsibilities required of the Borough Solicitor.
