Portage is a borough with home rule status in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Ebensburg and 22 miles (35 km) southwest of Altoona. It is part of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,459 at the 2020 US census.

The Portage Borough Snow Plowing Operations are now in effect per Borough Ordinance.  The ordinance states:

  • 412.   PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS AND AVENUES FOR THE PURPOSE OF SNOW PLOWING AND REMOVAL.

  1. It shall be unlawful for any owner or operator of any motor vehicle to park on the odd side of a street or avenue on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on the even side of a street or avenue on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This Section shall be effective each year for the months of November through March from the hours of 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (during snowfall) and will not be in effect through the months of April through October.
